William Benson

William Benson is a seasoned thespian with over 30 years’ cognate experience in theatre and film production. His expertise spans across the full spectrum of entertainment genres and creative capacities including acting, writing, directing, set design and production.
He has featured prominently in numerous critically acclaimed stage, radio and film productions. He has mostly partnered with The number one theatre productions outfit, ever to come out of Nigeria and Africa: “The Duke of Shomolu Productions” where he has availed his gift in writing producing and directing of great epic stories from Nigeria such as Loud Whispers an adaptation of Joseph Edgar’s Thisday rant, Isale Eko, Oba Eshugbayi, Emotan the Iyeki of Benin, Ibiom, and Ufok Ibaan and he is presently working on the Easter play happening in Warri this April, 2022 Ogiame Erejuwa the II.
He has written several other plays and short films and feature films yet to be produced. William holds a B.A in English Language from the University of Lagos, Nigeria where he majored in literature.
